Year 6 spent a whole day creating computer-controlled fairground rides. Nine teams each had to design and build their own fairground ride out of K-NEX, assemble a Raspberry Pi computer from the basic parts, and finally write a computer program to control the lights, motor and loudspeaker, using a switch to change the mode of operation. At the end of the day they all had the chance to show off their designs and programs to the rest of the class and describe how the design process went.
