Pupils in years 3 to 6 were treated to close contact with a range of cold-blooded animals when ‘Animal Encounters’ visited the Science Laboratory. The animals included a Ball Python, Bearded Dragon, Blue-tongued Skink, Scorpions and Tarantulas. Virtually all of the children were keen to stroke or handle the animals (and so were a number of staff). The event proved to be very popular with a number of children saying that they would like to have a Bearded Dragon as a pet.
