Children arrive at school between 8.30 and 8.45am and meet with their friends in the playground before going into the classroom.
The school day begins at 8.55am with registration in their classrooms. This gives the children a regular opportunity to hear about what is happening on that day and to ask their class teacher any questions.
At 9am children begin the day with Prep assembly or singing practice. This is followed by a 20- minute Phonics lesson and then a longer lesson with an English or Maths focus. Prep assemblies take place on Mondays and Wednesdays. There is a whole school assembly on a Friday and singing practice on a Tuesday.
At 10.40am it is break time and a chance for some fresh air, a snack and a drink and time to play with friends.
The children have another lesson before lunch. This might include English, Maths, PE, Science or Art.
Children make their way to the Dining Hall for lunch, during which time they have a wide choice from the menu which is cooked on site. Lunchtime is also a great opportunity for the children to take part in a number of lunchtime clubs such as gardening, Lego, construction, nature and recorders.
In the afternoon, the children have their final lessons of the day with a short break at 2.25pm. They finish the day at 3.30pm when all the children gather their belongings and get ready to be picked up by their parents.
After School Club is available for pupils until 5.30pm and Prep children also take part in a number of after school activity clubs including Andy Tucker Football, Dance and Choir.
Children are asked to read with their parents every evening and Year 1 and Year 2 children have spellings to practise each day.
